Christmas 2007, Issue 5

Aimee, Jamie, Marissa and Thane had not been to visit Grandpa yet so we all went to Ottawa and stayed in the Delta downtown as they had a deal with the hospital where we got a room for free for 3 nights! Aimee et al stayed one night with us, we had it one night to ourselves and Nat et all had it for the 3rd night. What a deal! We got to spend more time with Grandma & Grandpa and hang out in the pool etc. The funny thing was they said it was a kitchenette suite so we brought meat, spagetti and canned sauce to make a meal cheap but, well, kitchenette means microwave and small fridge with 2 bowls, 2 plates and minimal cutlery! So we ordered pizza, went for a swim until it was delivered (they said minimum 1 hour wait for delivery even though they were 2 blocks away!). Thane has a most unconventional way to eat his pizza, from the middle out!
After getting sick (hence the 2nd night for Aric and I at the hotel) we went to visit Grandpa again and then went to Almonte to look (again) at a woodworking school there Aric is interested it. Aric chatted with the teacher and looked over the school while Isaac and I went to Baker Bob's for some cinnamon buns.
