Ontario Vacation Part 1

In August we used our Tax return and bought tickets to Ontario to go see my family. We hadn't seen them in two years so it was time to go. Isaac was so excited to go take a plane ride, he wouldn't stop talking about it for days. (note to self, don't tell Isaac about vacations until THAT day!) We bought him some new cars - a WestJet airport set with luggage cars, meal trucks, signs and a plane! He was so pleased.
He played with them the whole trip other than eating the in-flight snacks, and real fruit gummies we had for his ear equalizing. He thought that it was a little scary when we hit some turbulance and then thought it was funny. "mommy this plane is wiggly"
He did really good, no sickness or sore ears or anything. Thank goodness he inherited Aric's flying capabilities. Mine are terrible. Isaac was consoling me that it was ok.

We rented a car and then spent the first night at Nat & James' place in Ottawa before heading to Chalk to Dad's place. We had a small version of the family meal (less Aimee & Jaime et al) that Saturday night. I think we are going to outgrow Dad's dining room really soon!

Aimee & gang drove in just minutes after we finished supper and then Grandma & Grandpa drove in from Deep (10 minutes) to see all of us.

The first thing Jamie did was fix Dad's van - what fun! All the boys (even Isaac) had to take part (much to Jaime's dismay) and give their input about it all. The rest of us we crowded around Thane and the other nieces & nephew.

The next night was the only night we were all going to be together so we went to the Moore's (my grandparents on my mom's side) Last Resort for a BBQ and to celebrate Gabriel's 16th Birthday. We did some family pictures and had a blast! It was beautiful and the kids loved to play outside in the dirt.

Marissa and Isaac after a walk with Grandpere to the park where they found some berries & plants for mommy. The berries ended up being poisonous but the thought was there! They were so cute!
